Tina Turner, born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue in the 1960s and early 1970s. They were known for their energetic performances and hits such as “River Deep – Mountain High” and “Proud Mary.” Armed with back up singers and flashy costumes, Ms. Turner surely came alive on stage.

Tina Turner’s career spans over six decades, during which she achieved great success as a solo artist. In the mid-1970s, she separated from her husband and musical partner, Ike Turner, and embarked on a solo career. Her 1984 album “Private Dancer” was a major breakthrough, featuring hits like “What’s Love Got to Do with It” and “Better Be Good to Me.” The album earned her multiple Grammy Awards and established her as a global superstar.
