Teyana Taylor Turns “Tonight Show” Into a Fashion Showcase With Two Striking Designer Looks
Teyana Taylor made her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon a full fashion moment Wednesday night in New York City, stepping out in two distinct designer ensembles from Mugler and Taakk.
For her arrival, Taylor wore a look from Mugler’s Spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, marking creative director Miguel Castro Freitas’ debut for the storied fashion house. The outfit, rendered in shades of gray and gunmetal, blended matte and glossy fabrics in a sleek, body-hugging silhouette with a high neckline and long sleeves. She completed the monochrome look with square-toed, skin-tight heeled boots that echoed the outfit’s sharp, futuristic edge.
The Spring 2026 collection leaned heavily into Mugler’s tailoring legacy, with hourglass shapes and sculptural construction that nodded to the brand’s iconic “Insects” era, while also recalling Martin Margiela’s deconstructed mannequin-inspired designs, according to WWD’s review by Joelle Diderich.
Later in the show, Taylor switched into a crisp white, sharply tailored look by Japanese label Taakk, founded in 2014 by designer Takuya Morikawa. The architectural ensemble featured custom tailoring and precise, angular details, offering a striking contrast to her earlier metallic-toned Mugler outfit. She kept the same gray Mugler boots, tying both looks together with a consistent footwear statement.
Taylor wore the Taakk design while performing her song “Hard Part” alongside Lucky Daye, closing out the night with both a musical and fashion-forward impression.
