Taylor Swift Reigns Supreme on Spotify’s 2024 Wrapped
Taylor Swift’s global dominance continues, as the 14-time Grammy winner was crowned Spotify’s most-streamed artist for the second consecutive year. On December 4, the streaming giant announced that Swift, 34, amassed an astounding 26.6 billion streams in 2024. Trailing her were The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Drake, and Billie Eilish, rounding out the top five.
To honor her achievement, Spotify introduced a special Wrapped badge on Swift’s profile — a first for the platform. Fans can also look forward to an exclusive in-app experience, complete with easter eggs and custom animations inspired by each of Swift’s musical eras.
Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, released in April during her record-breaking Eras Tour, claimed the title of 2024’s most-streamed album. It was followed by Billie Eilish’s HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, KAROL G’s MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO, and Ariana Grande’s eternal sunshine.
Incredibly, Swift also secured two additional spots on the year’s top albums list with 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and Lover. However, the most-streamed song of 2024 wasn’t hers. That honor went to Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso, with Benson Boone’s Beautiful Things, Eilish’s BIRDS OF A FEATHER, FloyyMenor and Cris Mj’s Gata Only, and Teddy Swims’ Lose Control completing the top five tracks.
Taylor Swift’s unmatched ability to captivate fans around the globe proves that 2024 was truly her year.
