To kick off the weekend, Atlanta-based rapper Latto unveiled her newest single, “Lottery” featuring Congolese-Canadian singer Lu Kala.
Prior to the release, Latto shared a snippet of the track on her Instagram page with a video of her throwing cash in the studio with fellow artist Cam and model Brooklyn Nikole.
“Lottery” is an upbeat and infectious tune that was met with praise from fans and other musicians. Upon hearing it, Doechii commented “I smell a HIT” and Bxndo said “Sounds like a mainstream hit. Sis makin feel good music.”
The song comes just under a year after the rapper released her sophomore album, 777. It climbed to No. 15 on the Billboard 200, featuring collaborations with 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Child Gambino, Kodak Black and more. The album’s lead single “Big Energy” even earned Latto a Grammy nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
