Katy Perry’s 143 Hits No. 2 on Vinyl Albums Chart

Katy Perry’s latest album, 143, is making waves across multiple Billboard charts this week. While the singles from the album haven’t quite hit the mark, the full album itself has smashed its way into the top 10 on several charts, marking a significant career milestone for Perry.

143 debuts at No. 2 on the Vinyl Albums chart, giving Perry her second top 10 hit on this ranking of the top-selling vinyl records in the U.S., and achieving her highest placement to date. This new No. 2 position surpasses her previous best from 2023, when her Katy CATalog collection peaked at No. 10 but quickly dropped off after one week.

Though Perry narrowly misses her first No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums chart, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess maintains the top spot with a surge in vinyl sales, thanks to the release of several new anniversary editions.

Despite the competition, Perry claims the highest debut of the week on the Vinyl Albums chart, with other major names like Future, Jamie xx, and Cher following behind. Over the course of her career, Perry has now had five entries on the vinyl ranking, including Prism (No. 13), Teenage Dream (No. 18), and Smile (No. 20).

143 also lands at No. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart and enters the Billboard 200 at No. 6, continuing Perry’s streak of top 10 placements across multiple charts. Even though the singles might not have performed as expected, the album’s vinyl success marks a bright spot in Katy Perry’s illustrious career.
