Justice for JayDaYoungan
On Wednesday, July 27th rapper and singer JayDaYoungan, also known as Javorius Tykies Scott, was tragically gunned down in front of his own home. According to Jay’s father, Kenyatta Scott, they were sitting on the porch in Bogalusa, Louisiana when a black truck pulled up and three armed people jumped out. As he and his son attempted to run inside the house they were suddenly approached by two more gunmen on the side.
Open fire ablaze, Scott mentioned he was armed and fired back at the gunmen, was shot twice in the arm, but his son was shot “at least” eight times. Jay was taken to a nearby hospital but did not make it out of surgery.
Scott believes there was no gang affiliation and his son did not know the men but that likely they were jealous of his success and getting out of Louisiana.
At this time Bogalusa Police are still investigating the motives behind this heinous act and no arrests have been made.
Jay was a young rapper on the rise with much talent at only 24 years old. He was most known for his singles “23 Island”, “Elimination”, and “Oops”, with over 100 million streams combined.
According to TMZ, Scott says people should remember his son as a “good, humble, and respectful kid”.
