
Jamaica-American Reggae artist Jo Mersa Marley Found Dead
Early this morning, Jamaican-American recording artist and DJ Jo Mersa Marley was found unresponsive in a vehicle near Kingston, Jamaica. Born Joseph Marley – the grandson of late reggae icon Bob Marley and son of Grammy award winning Stephen Marley – he was 31 years old.
Joseph Marley – born March 12, 1991 in Kingston-grew up surrounded by music. At an early age Joseph performed onstage with his dad Ziggy and uncles Ziggy and Cedella all four during the group’s concerts. From a young age he followed in his family’s footsteps and from then on brought light to the world through his musical gifts.

Mersa best known for his studio album “Comfortable” and single “Everlasting”, which released in 2014 and 2020 respectively. He was also a Grammy-winning musician; having won the Best Reggae Album award with his father last year for Stony Hill (the album’s artwork pictured above).
