Album Release

A Whole New World

On Friday, July 29 Beyoncé blessed the world with another and arguably poetic album called “Renaissance”.  The controversy lies with her fans who argue whether this album is life-changing like her record “Lemonade” which was released in 2016. The album compared had soul, and depth, and gave us hints of her personal life to tell the tale of a true story and keep listeners hooked.

Lyrics on the album “Renaissance” carry some of your best next instagram captions. Phrases like”

“I’m one of one. I’m number one.” I’m the only one. – “Alien Superstar”

“It’s not the diamonds. It’s not the pearls. I’m that girl.” – “Cozy”

“Nobody can judge me but me. I was born free”. – “Church Girl”

The song “Church Girl” is one of the favorite songs on the album. Overall her past musical influences come through and even small throwbacks if you listen carefully but this album is very different from her previous works. Relative beats and modern lyrics to fit today’s music world was an obvious jump on this album, leaving fans who have been with her all these years feeling 50/50.

“It’s growing on me and I really like some of the songs, but not her best work,” from an anonymous long-time fan of Beyonce.

We are continuously in awe of Beyoncé’s hard work and dedication to her people. The overall female empowerment and self-love shining through each song shows commitment to her followers and especially her females. The level of encouragement in the lyrics of “Renaissance” keeps the world moving and with a positive impact.. Beyoncé once said “Who runs the world, girls,” and this statement only expands and becomes more powerful with each project she puts out. Encouraging her female fans to be the best version of themselves.

This is only part 1 of 3 and we cannot wait to see what is in store for us next.
